Art Exhibitions by artists Evan Lindquist and Frank Satogata

Xavier University and the Department of Art are pleased to present two art exhibitions January 14 through February 15, 2013.
Evan Lindquist was born in Salina, Kansas and grew up in Emporia, Kansas. He earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Iowa in 1963 and Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Emporia State University in 1958. Mr. Lindquist taught printmaking and drawing at Arkansas State University from 1963-2003. Academe, Engravers, and Scenic Routes concentrates on three popular series of Lindquist engravings which show satirical views of his “Academe” series, and fantasies about “Old Master Engravers” and “Scenic Routes.” Evan was the first place winner of the 2011 Art at the X National Juried Competition held in the Xavier University Art Gallery. Frank Satogata is a Graphic Designer and Painter living in Cincinnati, Ohio. Originally from Honolulu, Hawaii and of Japanese ancestry he studied at the University of Minnesota, the Heatherly School of Fine Art in London, England, the Columbus College of Art and Design and Syracuse University. In addition, he has taught at the University of Cincinnati and the Art Academy of Cincinnati. He presently works out of his studio
