Appreciation of Grounds Crew at Xavier

Quote by Trudelle Thomas, 25 Years Xavier Employee | April 27, 2012

The 2012 President's Reception was held on Tuesday, April 24th, in recognition of employees with milestone years of service at Xavier University.  Ms. Trudelle Thomas, Professor of English, was recognized with 25 years of service.

During her years of service at Xavier, she has seen many changes on campus and expressed her appreciation of the Grounds Crew from Physical Plant.  The following was taken from the brochure that was available at the reception:

"Trudelle came to Xavier as a visiting assistant professor in the Department of English and gradually worked her way up to full professor in 2002.  She has relished the opportunity to guide many remarkable students and mentees.  She has watched the campus change from nondescript (in the 1970's when she was a student) to what she describes as marvelous, thanks to the University's visionary grounds crew.  She appreciates all the behind-the-scene people who make Xavier an appealing place to work and learn."
