The 34th Annual Antonio Johnson Scholarship Gala takes place this Friday, April 16, at the Cintas Center. The theme this year is "Dare to Dream, Strive to Succeed." The gala is a premier event at Xavier that recognizes outstanding students, faculty and staff for their accomplishments and contributions to the University's African-American community  through academics and leadership.

The highlight of the evening is the presentation of the Antonio Johnson Scholarship, which is given to an African-American junior who has demonstrated academic excellence, strong leadership, involvement and service. The scholarship is equal to one year’s tuition, including a book stipend, and room and board.

Tickets for the gala are $30 for faculty, staff and the public and $15 for current students. For more information about the event or tickets, please contact the Office of Multicultural Affairs at 513-745-3181 or multiculturalaffairs@xavier.edu.
