ROSEMARY CLOONEY TRIBUTE SUNG BY NANCY JAMES
September 9, 2012
Singer Nancy James brings to life the work of legendary vocalist Rosemary Clooney with a narration by Carmen DeLeone. Hank Mautner’s Masterworks Jazz Orchestra provides spirited support for this outstanding review of "Rosie's" major recordings. A nostalgic performance done with class and style.

TRUMPETER RANDY REINHART REMEMBERS THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK
October 7, 2012
World class trumpeter Randy Reinhart plays ballads and swing tunes from the great song list of the 30s and 40s. Many of us remember the lyrical trumpet of Bobby Hackett – Randy plays in that lovely style better than anyone. Bill Gemmer’s small band provides stellar support. Swing music at its finest.

BYRON STRIPLING’S BAND PLAYS BLUES AND GOSPEL
November 11, 2012
Jazz trumpet virtuoso and singer Byron Stripling proves his versatility by leading a blues and gospel show. Several years ago his pianist, Bobby Floyd, captivated the Gallagher audience with some lowdown blues played on an Emerson organ. Our guess is he will do it again. This will be a unique show headed by two strong musicians.

FAUX FRENCHMEN
January 20, 2013
This Cincinnati- based quartet (two guitars, bass and violin) offers some sensational interpretations of the legendary Hot Club of France material from pre-war Paris. This is no sedate string quartet as this group swings like mad. The Frenchmen have achieved the highest national ranking in their “Gypsy Jazz” genre.

PETRA’S RECESSION SEVEN
March 24, 2013
Cincinnati native Petra van Nuis moved to Chicago several years ago with her guitar- playing husband, Andy Brown. For her Gallagher debut she is accompanied by her “Recession Seven” swing group made up of some of the top Windy City musicians. Petra and her group specialize in the popular songs of the 30s that have become standards. This will be a special show performed by extraordinarily talented musicians.

THE FOUR FRESHMEN
April 14, 2013
The modern-day Four Freshmen perform with the same lush harmonies that made the original quartet so memorable. After 50-some years, six Grammy nominations, 45 albums, several top jazz singing awards the Four Freshmen remain as popular as ever. Not surprisingly, the current foursome is playing to packed auditoriums and casinos around the country. The trademark-that mix of tight harmonies, keen jazz, instrumental instincts and tremendous joviality – is all there. This will sell out.

ED POLCER AND HIS JAZZ ALL-STARS
May 5, 2013
Ed Polcer, an outstanding trumpeter, leads his touring all-star group on a trip along New York City’s famed 52nd Street- - -long known among music fans as “Swing Street”. Ed carefully selects outstanding musicians to ensure a top swing performance. His band put on a memorable show at the Gallagher Center two years ago, requiring a quick return.
