The Great Debate is an intellectual and cultural forum debating “hot topic” issues of the day.  The issues are debated from the perspective legacies of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X and a John Coltrane (Synthesis) of these two perspectives.  As part of the experience, cultural vignettes such as musical selections, dramatic interpretation and spoken word will engage the audience in the interactive experience.

Xavier University take the position of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, Wilberforce University will take the position of the John Coltrane (Synthesis) and Miami University take the Malcolm X position while local public officials will serve as judges.
