Extended Care
Extended care is available to all children enrolled in the lab school. The hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and noon to 5:30 p.m. Extended care is not included in tuition rates and is collected separately from tuition payments. You may use it part-time or full-time, but you must register in advance for a discounted rate.
Extended Care Registration Form
The extended care program is licensed by the Ohio Department of Education - Early Childhood Division and is directed by a Childcare Coordinator. The Childcare Coordinator is a credential Montessori teacher and is assisted by college students who are enrolled in the Montessori Teacher Education Program.
The children remain on the university premises for this program and are provided a wide range of developmentally appropriate activities.

Drop-In Use
Available to families whose extended care needs will vary week-to-week or for those who will use extended care only occasionally. Drop-In use will be billed according to use. The hourly rate will vary depending on the number of hours used during the billing period. Child care use requires advanced notice. Although usually available, we cannot guarantee drop-in extended care services. We reserve the right to decline services if we are unable to produce the legal staff ratio required by the State of Ohio. This would be a very rare occurrence.
Drop-In use will be billed at the following hourly rates:
25 or more hours per week: $7.00 per hour
12-24 hours per week: $8.00 per hour
1-11 hours per week: $9.00 per hour
To register for Drop-In services, please complete the Child Care Registration Form. Return it to the Montessori Office with the registration fee of $50.00 per child.
