Major & Course Sequence - German

To major in German, 28 upper division semester hours of German must be completed. Required courses include nine hours from German courses numbered 300-351, nine hours from German courses numbered 420-461 and nine hours of electives from German 300-499. The office of the registrar has a listing of course descriptions in German.

Additionally, majors complete a senior thesis under the guidance of a faculty advisor. A senior research project is required in order to complete the German major.

Upon successful completion of the program, students receive a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in German. Students are encouraged to pursue a second major or a minor.
