Modern Languages Graduates Plan for Future
Seniors demonstrate valuable applications of language study
04/25/07The Department of Modern Languages celebrates the graduation of another class of students. These young people have finished their undergraduate experience at Xavier University, and now it is time for them to move into the next phases of their lives. The department faculty members are proud of these students, and we join together in wishing them much happiness and success after the university.
Following is a list of graduating majors and minors in the Department of Modern Languages. We will add to and amend the information as more students formalize their post-grad plans.
Rachel Bensman (French; Cincinnati) will attend the Ohio State Medical School.
Daniel Brown (Spanish; Cincinnati) will attend law school at Indiana University or the University of Cincinnati.
Nicholas Costaras (French; Westlake, OH) will attend Cleveland Marshall School of Law.
Daniel Flynn (Spanish; Reading, PA) will work as a volunteer in the Rostro de Cristo program in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
Belinda Gómez (Spanish; Mexico City) has accepted a position with the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in Cincinnati.
Katie Kimnach (Spanish; Columbus, OH) will join the Red Cloud Volunteers, in Pine Ridge, SD. She will teach in the schools on this Native American reservation.
Jeff Powell (Spanish; Cincinnati) has been accepted into the Xavier University MBA program.
Rhiannen Price (French; St. Louis, MO) is awaiting assignment in the Peace Corps. She expects to work in the Caribbean region.
Sarah Sponseller (Spanish; Palatine, IL) has accepted a position as Human Resources Coordinator in the Benefits & Compensation Department of Total Quality Logistics.
Carolyn Sullivan (German; Cincinnati) will work with Public Allies, a community action organization funded by Americorps, for a year. She hopes to attend law school in 2008.
