Course Information
Spanish
To major in Spanish, 28 upper division semester hours of Spanish must be completed. Required courses include Spanish 300 or 301; three additional hours of language from Spanish 300-306; Spanish 328 and 370; three hours from Spanish 350-352; six hours of literature from Spanish 400-490, 497; and six additional elective hours from Spanish 325-498 (except 353).
Additionally, majors complete a senior thesis under the guidance of a faculty advisor. A senior research project for one credit hour is required in order to complete the Spanish major.
Upon successful completion of the program, students receive a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Spanish. Students are encouraged to pursue a second major or a minor.
