Student Organizations
GPHSA Student Organization
Our students are our proudest accomplishment. They come from a diversity of backgrounds, majors and geographic locations. Some enter the program with years of health care experience, others are just embarking on their career.
The make-up of each entering class also consists of a wide range of ages, interests and experiences. You will find being a student in our program means learning from your peers as well as in the classroom setting.
Healthcare Administration Student Professional Society
Our mission is "To create an environment that empowers future healthcare leaders by encouraging collaboration, innovation and education among members and healthcare professional organizations."
Community Involvement
The students of the GPHSA program find many ways to stay involved with the city of Cincinnati. Several students volunteer at the local Ronald McDonald House on a weekly basis and other students volunteer at local hospitals.
Examples of other community service projects include raising money for Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, volunteering with the Center for Closing the Health Gap's annual Health Expo, adopting a family at the holidays, volunteering with Mercy Neighborhood Ministries and hosting a scavenger hunt to raise money for the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati.
In an effort to collaborate with other programs, the students organized a Technology Symposium with the University of Kentucky’s MHA program this past spring. The sympopsium featured alumni Mike Hibbard, Chief Information Officer at Mercy Health Partners along with Rick Moore, Chief Information Officer for TriHealth as keynote speakers.
