In addition to their academic coursework, students have been busy the past few months volunteering throughout the Cincinnati community. In December, all 33 members of the second?year, full?time class worked with Lighthouse Youth Services on their Happy Holidays Program. The class raised money, shopped, and filled 150 boxes with food and supplies for the homeless youth of Cincinnati. (see photos)

Second?year student Jason Bruns took some time out of his schedule at the American College of Healthcare Executives Congress in Chicago to work with a nonprofit organization called H.O.M.E. He painted walls for the group to provide better housing for low income families in the Rogers Park area. (see photos)

At the beginning of March, many first?year students began volunteering at Taylor Elementary on a weekly basis. They are tutoring the elementary students in reading or mathematics as part of an overall community effort to help Taylor Elementary pass their Ohio Achievement Test at the end of April.

In addition, students from both classes are volunteering at many local organizations and hospitals, including Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Veterans Administration Medical Center? Cincinnati, and Mercy St. Johns.
