Alumni Association Update
Chad Wiggins, '96 - President, HSA Alumni Association
Happy Spring XU MHSA Alumni!
The energy in our Program is at a tremendous level. We just completed another successful MHSA Alumni Dinner in Chicago, where I had the privilege of bestowing the YR 2011 DASA on Mr. Mark Hannahan (1979). Mark has significant healthcare executive recruiting and operations experience, has started and sold a number of small businesses and presently has two careers: one as Senior VP of CES Partners, working with another of our DASA recipients, Mr. Barry Cesafsky, providing recruitment services to executive and clinical leaders for healthcare organizations around the Country, and as a PGA Class A Professional, focusing on the teaching of juniors.
MHSA Program Update:
Dr. Linenkugel is doing a wonderful job leading our Program. She has achieved 100% resident placement by February for the Masters students, and is realizing significant growth in undergraduate H S A programming. Her efforts and business style have truly reenergized our alumni base. Please read her weekly correspondence, “The Herald” to keep up-to-date with program news and activities.
Your Alumni Board has been working diligently to focus our energies on the following four initiatives:
1. Stronger Alumni Relations
2. Greater Student Involvement
3. Increased internship and residency options
4. Fund raising
On a personal note, it is with great pride and a tinge of sadness that I communicate with our valuable Alumni for the last time as the President of the Alumni Association. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve with this Board. The experience has been wonderful and I look forward to watching this collection of tremendous talent take our Alumni Association to even greater heights of success.
Thanks to our many alumni that have supported our move to provide increased monetary support to students in lieu of annual dues. We hope that you will continue your support of the MHSA students and give back to the program that shaped so many of our careers. If you have any questions, concerns or suggestions for how the alumni association can better serve the MHSA family, please email xumhsa@xavier.edu.
In service,
C. Chad Wiggins ‘96
