The graduate program in Health Services Administration welcomed this fall one of its largest classes on record with 33 full-time students. The class of 2012 represents 25 colleges and universities across the United States.
The part-time class of 2012 includes nine professionals from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, University Hospital, Mercy Health Partners, Friendship Village, Catholic Healthcare Partners and Kettering Medical Network. They have work experience in customer service, business, financial counseling, administration and environmental health. This well-rounded group is sure to deliver great work during their time at Xavier and we look forward to watching them grow.
Full-time students spent the first day of orientation learning about the program and the path of their studies for the next three years. They spent the second day with consultant Deborah Pearce, who stressed the importance of creating “performing teams” during their studies. The orientation culminated in a picnic organized by second-year students, which allowed everyone, including faculty and staff, to relax and have fun prior to the start of classes. Congratulations to the newest members of the Xavier’s Health Services Administration family.
