Mathematics Minor

  • The mathematics minor requires 20 credit hours of mathematics courses, including MATH 170 and 171 (Calculus I and II), MATH 225 (Foundations of Higher Mathematics), and at least nine additional elective hours selected from MATH 220-399.
  • Students must select their additional mathematics course work under the guidance of a faculty advisor in the Department Mathematics and Computer Science.
  • Students must maintain a 2.000 cumulative grade point average in these courses.

 

Statistics Minor

  • The statistics minor requires 20 credit hours of courses, including 17 hours of mathematics courses from MATH 170 and 171 (Calculus I and II), MATH 256 (Introduction to Probability and Statistics), MATH 311 (Probability), and MATH 312 (Statistical Inference).
  • Students must select 3 additional credit hours as approved by department under the guidance of a faculty advisor, including MATH 257 (Data Modeling); ECON 350 (Business Cycles and Forecasting), ECON 410 (Empirical Analysis in Economics); or INFO 329 (Data Mining).
  •  Students must maintain a 2.000 cumulative grade point average in these courses.
