10. Finding books, journals, and audiovisuals Xavier owns

Use XPLORE, the library's online catalog, to find books, journals or magazines, audiovisuals, and other materials that Xavier owns.

XPLORE contains a record for each book, journal or magazine, and audiovisual owned by the library. Information describing each item in XPLORE is stored in fields for the author, title, subject, date, etc. (example).

To access XPLORE click on the Books tab and select XPLORE Library Catalog (example).

Search XPLORE by author, title, keyword or subject heading (example). Limit your search results by language, date, material type, location, and other criteria (example and Demo: marketing search in XPLORE).

XPLORE indicates where materials are located, their call numbers, and if they are available and can be checked out (example).

If the book is available electronically, a link is provided within XPLORE to the full-text (example).

You may also search XPLORE by specific journal, magazine, or newspaper title to see if Xavier owns it.
