10. Finding books, journals, and audiovisuals Xavier owns

Use XPLORE, the library's online catalog, to find books, journals or magazines, audiovisuals, and other materials that Xavier owns.

XPLORE contains a record for each book, journal or magazine, and audiovisual owned by the library. Information describing each item is stored in fields for the author, title, subject, date, etc.

To access XPLORE click the Books tab (1) and begin searching by Keyword, Author, Title, or Subject (2).

Limit or modify your search results by clicking the Modify Search button and then limiting your results by language, date, material type, location, and other criteria. (Demo: marketing search in XPLORE).

XPLORE indicates where materials are located (1), their call numbers (2), and if they are availability status (3). The example below indicates this item is already checked out and provides the due date.

If the book is available electronically, a link is provided within XPLORE to the full-text (4).

You may also search XPLORE by specific journal, magazine, or newspaper title to see if Xavier owns it.
