xu.tutor: Identifying Resources

1. Types of Resources

The library provides access to many types of resources. These resources include books, journals, and audiovisuals as well as the Internet. In general, use books for background or comprehensive information on your topic; use journal or magazine articles for more specific and more current information; and use audiovisuals and the Internet to supplement other resources.

Access the library's resources using:

  • XPLORE, the library's online catalog (example))
  • OhioLINK, the combined catalog for colleges and universities in Ohio (example)
  • The library's collection of research databases (example)
  • Electronic full-text journals (example)
