13. Finding books and audiovisuals in OhioLINK/Search ohio

OhioLINK is the combined online catalog of more than 85 college and university libraries in the State of Ohio. Search Ohio is the combined online catalog of many public libraries in Ohio. Use OhioLINK/ Search Ohio to find books and audiovisuals that are not available at Xavier. You must go to the OhioLINK catalog before you can link to Search Ohio.

To access OhioLINK, click the XPLORE/OhioLINK tab on the library's homepage and search in the keyword box or click the OhioLINK Library Catalog link.

Search OhioLINK by title, author, subject, keyword, or subject term.

Borrow an item from an OhioLINK library by clicking the REQUEST link in the item's record. You will be prompted for your institution and then your your MyXU portal user name and password.

Select Xavier University as your insitution and then type in your MyXU username and password.

If you are searching for materials which are more likely to be held at public libraries, use Search Ohio to find the materials.

Search the OhioLINK catalog and from there, click on the button to Search Ohio

Select Xavier University as your institution.

Click Submit above information and then type in your MyXU username and password.

Items are available at the Connection desk in the Conaton Learning Commons in 3-5 business days from both OhioLINK and Search Ohio
