In this demo you will search for books, periodicals, and audiovisuals that the library owns.

You need to find materials that Xavier owns about The Olympics

Type olympics in the Keyword search box.

Click the Search button above.

Search@XU will return a list of items with the keyword, olympics, in their record.

Go to the Format box on the left of the results to limit results to books, or journals, or audiovisuals.

Limit first of all to articles, by clicking on the check box beside the word Article (Note that you can see the number of Peer-reviewed articles)

Click on the title of an article and then click on the Find it @ XU button to find the full-text.

Now limit results to books by clicking on the check box beside the word Book (be sure to uncheck the article box)

You can click on the Availability link to see if the book is available.

Now limit results to audiovisuals by clicking on the check box beside the word Videos (be sure to uncheck the book box)

You can click on the Availability link to see if the video is available.

Using Search@XU is one way to find out the materials that Xavier owns.
