4. Accuracy of the information

What to check Why
Are there mistakes on the website?
Spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, and factual inaccuracies are a good first sign that the information may not be accurate (example).
Is the purpose of the website serious or humorous?
Hoax websites abound on the web and are often difficult to detect (Demo wto.org ; Demo gatt.org ).
Are there links to other websites?
Links to other websites will often reinforce the information (example).
Is the website well-organized?
Well-organized information indicates that care has been taken with the website (example).
Does the website have a bibliography?
A bibliography is an indication that the author has researched the information (example).
