Sometimes you discover the articles you want in a bibliography at the end of a book, book chapter, or another article. This is a perfectly legitimate way to do research. To get a copy of these articles you need to find the journals in which the articles appear. Use the following process to check the availability of a journal.

Before you get started review the anatomy of a citation.
Open or print this Microsoft Word document that contains a bibliography of 6 articles.
Print these instructions.
Locate all 6 of these articles.
Be sure to check the dates of your article against the dates of available full-text.
For each of the 6 citations in this bibliography determine the method you need to use to obtain a "hard" copy of the article: Online Full-Text or Interlibrary Loan
Follow the links all the way to the full-text (if available) of the article.
