26 Steps to Infromation Fluency

Step 3: Xavier Outlook Web Access (OWA) Email

Xavier's Outlook Web Access (OWA) is the primary method of communication at Xavier University. You must read your Xavier email daily as important communications from Xavier and your professors are transmitted this way. Also, you have only 25 MB of storage space, so it is important that you read and delete messages every day. In addition, save any email attachments to your C drive and then delete the email message. Also, try not to send to other students or yourself any email attachments that exceed 25 MB. You will receive warnings as you approach your maximum storage capacity. You will not be able to automatically forward your Xavier email to an account by another email provider. However, email messages created and sent from within Blackboard can be viewed and responded to in your Xavier OWA account.

For help using Outlook Web Access (OWA) refer to these PDF documents and online help pages:

  9. Find the Options setting that allows you to automatically empty Deleted Items upon login out of email.
