You can also access Know It Now in many of the library's research databases.
Ask the librarian for a short list of the best databases in your academic discipline.

Online chat is a way of communicating by sending text messages to people in the same chat-room forum in real-time. Unlike a listserv, communication in a chat room takes place right in your browser window and not through email. There are many good chat rooms. You can find some by searching Google, Yahoo, and other Internet search engines. Complete the following tasks:
Go to Google .
Search for chat rooms in your discipline; for example, type: nursing chat rooms or history chat rooms
Join or register for one of the chat rooms you found.
Create a new entry in your Blackboard e-portfolio (Expo Directory).
Copy and paste the links to the chat room you joined.
