CAMIO (Catalog of Art Museum Images) (XLinks) provides high-quality art images from around the world contributed and described by leading museums, all rights-cleared for educational use. Every work in CAMIO is represented by at least one high-resolution image and a description. Many have additional views of the work, sound, video and curatorial notes. It covers antiquity to the present, and includes photographs, prints, sculptures, paintings decorative arts, posters, utilitarian objects, and jewelry. This database supports not only art history, studio art and design programs but also provides a rich context for history, religion and other humanities disciplines. CAMIO fills the gap left by the end of operations of the Art Museum Image Consortium (AMICO). It is produced by AMICO and the user interface is provided by OCLC (Online Computer Library Center).

Art and Architecture Digital Media (XLinks) is part of OhioLINK's Digital Media Center and contains digital images of art and architecture worldwide as well as collections found in local Ohio museums and universities. Art and Architecture from the University of Cincinnati (XLinks) is part of OhioLINK's Digital Media Center: Art and Architecture Digital Media. It contains 102 digital images of paintings, prints, sculptures and architecture photographs located at the University of Cincinnati. Each entry includes the title, creator, creation date, object type, measurements, context, owner, contributor and a stable link to the item. The user interface is provided by OhioLINK.

ART Collection (XLinks) is part of OhioLINK's Digital Media Center: Art and Architecture Digital Media. It contains 52,855 digital images of works of art from museums around the world. It highlights the creative output of cultures around the world, from prehistoric to contemporary times, and covers the complete range of expressive forms. Images include a broad range of works of the following genres: painting, sculpture, photography, print, drawing, ceramic, textiles, metalwork, furniture, books and scrolls, architecture, and archeological finds. Cultures and time periods represented range from contemporary art, Native American and Inuit art, to ancient Greek, Roman, and Egyptian works, along with Japanese and Chinese works. This collection was formerly organized by The Art Museum Image Consortium (AMICO), a consortium of museums and libraries, but is now licensed directly from individual museums. Early Encounters in North America: Peoples, Cultures and the Environment (1534-1860; all full-text; XLinks) includes about 1,000 primary sources describing North American peoples, cultures and environment that appear in key bibliographies for this academic discipline. It permits searches by author, year, source, place, environment, encounter, fauna, flora, peoples, images, personal event or cultural event. It includes the letters, diaries and memoirs of more than 1,440 authors. It is produced by and the user interface is provided by Alexander Street Press in collaboration with the University of Chicago.

Greek and Latin Inscriptions (XLinks) is part of OhioLINK's Digital Media Center. It contains a collection of digitized squeezes (accurate paper impressions) of Greek and Latin inscriptions from Greece, Italy and Macedonia. The purpose of this collection is to foster the study of inscriptions and manuscripts and promote research opportunities for those interested in these primary sources of information for the ancient and mediaeval world. It is produced by the Center for Epigraphical and Palaeographical Studies at The Ohio State University. The user interface is provided by OhioLINK.

Images from the Akron Art Museum (XLinks) is part of OhioLINK's Digital Media Center: Art and Architecture Digital Media. It contains 102 digital images of prints, paintings, photographs and sculptures located at the Akron Art Museum. Each entry includes the title, creator, creation date, object type, measurements, materials, context, owner, owner credit, accession number, contributor and a stable link to the item. Lake Erie's Yesterdays (XLinks) is a part of OhioLINK's Digital Media Center and contains a collection of historic photographs of northwestern Ohio, documenting the local history of the Erie islands and Lake Erie's western basin. These 1,087 black and white images were produced by Sandusky, Ohio, commerical photographer Ernst Niebergall between 1909 and 1915. From ice harvesting and railroads to early aviation and island leisure activities, the Niebergall photographs richly depict the everyday lives and activities of Lake Erie's southern shoreline residents. The photographs provide a record of communities in transition as old methods gave way to advances in industry and technology. The original photos were part of the Charles E. Frohman Collection at the Manuscripts Division of the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center. The user interface is provided by OhioLINK.

Mayan Archaeology Digital Photographs (XLinks) s part of OhioLINK's Digital Media Center. This collection shows Mayan architecture and scenery from Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala. As a resource for the exploration of the various and complex interrelationships within Mayan society, the Mayan archaeology collection serves as basic image resource which the creators hope will be augmented by other scholars in the field. It is produced by theDepartment of Anthropology, Oberlin College. The user interface is provided by OhioLINK.

National Underground Railroad Freedom Center Digital Images (XLinks) is a part of OhioLINK's Digital Media Center and contains digital documents related to slavery, abolition, and emancipation. The collection includes abolitionist broadsheets, photographs by Matthew Brady, letters and speeches of President Lincoln and other presidents, and other historic letters, documents, and pictures. The original documents are found in the Gilder Lehrman Collection of the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. The digital images were made available through the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. The user interface is provided by OhioLINK.

Oxford Art Online (prehistory-1990's; updated monthly; all full-text; temporary off-campus link; XLinks) is the online version of the 1996 edition of Dictionary of Art and the 2001 edition of the Oxford Companion to Western Art. It also contains Grove Art Online, Concise Oxford Dictionary of Art Terms, Encyclopedia of Aesthetics, and direct links from articles in Oxford Art Online to ARTstor and Art Resources. It contains 45,000 articles on every aspect of the visual arts (painting, sculpture, graphic arts, architecture, decorative arts, photography) and contains biographical information on over 20,000 artists, patrons, collectors, and dealers with bibliographic citations at the end of each article. It also contains many embedded images and links to external images. It is produced by and the user interface is provided by Oxford University Press.

Saskia Art History Images (XLinks) is part of OhioLINK's Digital Media Center: Art and Architecture Digital Media. It contains 1,009 digital images of paintings and sculptures located in museums worldwide. It also contains digital images of photographs of architectural structures located throughout the world. Each entry includes the title, creator, creation date, object type, measurements, materials, style/period, owner, accession number, contributor and a stable link to the item. This collection emphasizes the core images required for teaching the history of Western art and is based on Gardner's Art Through the Ages, Stokstad's History of Art and Hartt's History of Italian Renaissance Art. WPA Prints by Cleveland Artists (Case Western Reserve University) (XLinks) is part of OhioLINK's Digital Media Center: Art and Architecture Digital Media. It contains 259 digital images of prints by Cleveland artists contributed by Case Western Reserve University. Each entry includes the title, creator, creation date, object type, measurements, context, owne, contributor and stable link to the item. The user interface is provided by OhioLINK.

Wright Brothers Digital Photographs (XLinks) is a part of OhioLINK's Digital Media Center and contains a collection of photographs documenting the invention of the airplane, the lives of the Wright Family, and the Wright brothers' flying exhibitions in Europe and the United States. The collection provides thorough coverage of the Wright brothers' early inventive period documenting their early gliders and flight testing in both North Carolina and Ohio. Much of it should show that Orville and Wilbur Wright were technically excellent photographers who painstakingly documented their process of invention. The content posted to date also provides a valuable record of their home life, camp life, and the flora and fauna of the Outer Banks 100 year ago. These photos are from The Wright Brothers Collection housed in Special Collections and Archives at the Wright State University Libraries, one of the most complete collections of Wright material in the world. Educational Films and Documentaries (XLinks), formerly the Digital Video Collection, is part of OhioLINK's Digital Media Center and contains 1,976 full-length educational films and documentaries covering a wide variety of subjects. The collection currently includes videos from two distributors: Ambrose Video and Films for the Humanities & Sciences. Real Media Player or Real Media Alternative is required to view videos.
