Linking To XPLORE or OhioLINK Records (See also: Linking to eBooks in XPLORE)

These instructions assume you have found an item in the XPLORE or OhioLINK library catalogs. The database link to this item is displayed in the Address box of your browser window.

NOTE: It is best to find the item first, copy its ISBN or ISSN number, and then do a new search by ISBN/ISSN number.

Paste the database link to this item into your Blackboard, Electronic Reserves, or MyXU course following the corresponding set of instructions listed below:

NOTE: It is not necessary to add the proxy URL in front of the dataabase URL.

Linking to eBooks in XPLORE (NOTE: Excludes the OhioLINK LIbrary Catalog)

These instructions assume you have found an e-book in the XPLORE.

NOTE: It is best to find the item first, copy its ISBN or ISSN number, and then do a new search by ISBN/ISSN number.

On a Windows workstation:

Right-click the link to the electronic version to connect to the ebook you want.
In the resulting menu click Copy Shortcut.

Paste the database link to this item into your Blackboard, Electronic Reserves, or MyXU course following the corresponding set of instructions listed below:
