Print or view the instructions you need, and then follow some easy steps for placing links to the library in your courses.
Select from the following list of library links. The Internet address or URL you need for creating the link is below the title and description of the link. URLs for the Subject Guides are on separate pages - just click the link provided to go to this page.
Insert the library's proxy address (http://libproxy.xu.edu:2048/login?url=) immediately before any stable/persistent URL for individual items found in library research databases and full-text journal collections. Instructions for identifying an article's stable/persistent URL can be found within each database description (XLinks) in the library's research database lists; for example:

For example, the stable/persistent URL for linking to an article in the above database, Academic Search Premier, is:
http://libproxy.xu.edu:2048/login?url=http://search.epnet.com/login.aspx?direct=true&db=aph&an=17539763
Use an Xtreme Subject Guide to find articles in research databases, books, journals media, websites, a librarian liaison and context specific help. Select the guide you want from the drop-down list below. The guide will open in your browser window. Highlight and copy the link in your browser window.
These steps were identified by selected Xavier professors as important information fluency skills. Students may complete all or just some of these steps. Take the steps in order as later steps require skills learned in earlier steps.
