Basic Searching

This is a great way to start your research when you are just begining to explore your topic. The basic search screen is what you see in the Search@XUbox as it appears on the Xavier University Library homepage. The default search setting is for Libraries Worldwide, but you can change this in the basic search mode by simply clicking on the drop down box. You can use keywords alone or together when searching in the basic search mode.

Advanced Searching

Advanced searching offers more detailed options for your search. Here you can limit to specific authors, keywords, year, format, language, and more. To get to the advanced search screen, click the hyperlink located below the basic search box.
