These instructions assume that you have searched an RLG database and have a list of results.
Exporting References from an RLG Database
- From the Title List of your search results, mark the records you want to import.
- Click Full. Citations must be in the full record format to be successfully imported into RefWorks.

- The Full Marked Records List appears.
- Click Print.

The Eureka Export window appears and your results are displayed in your browser window.

From the menu bar, click File and then click Save as in the drop-down menu.

- The Save Web Page screen appears.
- Select Desktop from the Save in dropdown box.
- The File Name box shows Eureka Export.
- Select Text File ("txt) from the Save as Type dropdown box.
- Click Save.

Importing References into RefWorks

From the library's homepage under the Welcome! tab, click RefWorks.

At the RefWorks User Login page:
- Enter your login name.
- Enter your password.
- Click Login.
NOTE: If you are in an off-campus location, you will be asked for a Group Code. Call the reference desk at 513 745-4808 to obtain this information.

- At the Getting Started page, click References in the top menu.
- Then click Import in the drop-down menu..

At the Import page, select RLG Eureka (Full Format) from the Import Filter/Data Source dropdown box.

Select the database you were searching from the Database dropdown box.

Click Browse to search the Desktop for the Eureka Export file.

- The Choose File box will appear.
- Choose Desktop at the Look in dropdown box.
- Select the file Eureka Export.txt
- The Eureka Export.txt file will now appear in the File name box.
- Click Open.

The Eureka Export.txt file now appears in the Import Data from the following Text File box.

Click Import.

The RefWorks Import page will open
- RefWorks will prompt with Import completed when it is finished.
- Click View Last Imported Folder to view your references.

RefWorks will display references in the Last Imported Folder window.

Click the FIND IT @ XU icon to see if an article is available in full-text, print or microform format and to submit an interlibrary loan request.
