Help: Creating a RefWorks Bibliography from a List of References
These instructions assume that you have already downloaded citations into RefWorks and now want to create a bibliography from the list of citations.
From the library's homepage in the Services box, click RefWorks.
At the RefWorks login page enter your login name.
Enter your password.
Click Login.
If you don't remember your password, click Forgot your password? and follow your on-screen instructions.
If you don't have a RefWorks account click Sign up for a New Account.

Click the Create Bibliography button.
Click the down arrow in the Output Style textbox and select the citation style you want. APA is shown but many others are available; such as MLA, Chicago, Vancouver, Turabian, etc. If you don't see the style you want under Favorites, check for it under Xavier University Specific.
If you don't see the style you want under Xavier University Specific, click the Output Style Manager and select it from the hundreds of styles available in RefWorks.
Skip past the next section, Format a Paper and Bibliography.
Cick the down arrow in the File Type to Create textbox and select a file type; for example, Word for Windows 2000 or later (shown). There are also file types for MACs, HTML, Open Office, etc.
Select the references you want to include in your bibliography. Your choices are All References, My List (those you previously selected before you clicked Bibliography on the menubar, or the references you placed in a particular folder.
Click the Create Bibliography button.
In the bottom right corner of your window RefWorks will display the following message:
Also in the bottom right corner of your window RefWorks will display the following message once the bibliography is completed:
If your bibliography does not display, click the link shown in the image
The File Download window will open.
Click the Open button.
The software application for the file type you selected will open - in this case Microsoft Word.
Your bibliography will display.
Highlight and copy your bibliography and then paste it at the end of your paper.
