These instructions assume that you have already downloaded citations into RefWorks and now want to create a bibliography from the list of citations.
-
From the library's homepage under the Welcome! tab, click RefWorks.

-
At the RefWorks User Login page enter your login name.
-
Enter your password.
-
Click Login.
NOTE: If you are in an off-campus location, you will be asked for a Group Code. Call the reference desk at 513 745-4808 to obtain this information.

- Click Bibliography on the RefWorks menu bar.

-
Click the down arrow in the Output Style textbox and select the citation style your want. APA is shown but many others are available; such as MLA, Chicago, Vancouver, Turabian, etc.
-
By default Format a Bibiliography from a List of References is selected. The other option is to create a bibliography from in-text citations in a paper. If that is what you actually want to do, follow the Write N Cite instructions.
-
Cick the down arrow in the File Type to Create textbox and select a file type; for example, Word for Windows 2000 or later (shown). There are also file types for MACs, HTML, Open Office, etc.

Select the references you want to include in your bibliography. Your choices are All References, My List (those you previously selected before you clicked Bibliography on the menubar, or the references you placed in a particular folder (the 26 Steps folder is shown).

- The window you actually want is the RefWorks Bibliography window which may be behind the previous two windows (shown).

- In the RefWorks Bibliography window below, just click Download it.

- In the File Download window click the Save button.

-
The Save As window will appear.
-
Click the down arrow in the Save in textbox and select where you want to save your bibliography.
-
Select Desktop from the drop -down list of drives and folders.
-
Note the name of the files you are saving (it will be your RefWorks username-Reflist).
-
Note the type of file you are saving. This will be what you specified back in RefWorks.
-
Click the Save button.

-
The Download Complete window will appear. You can just close this window.
-
Go to where you saved your bibliography file and double click it.
-
