Find an article in a database and copy the stable URL for the article. To accurately identify the article link see the XLinks instructions in the database description.

Go to Blackboard at http://blackboard.xavier.edu/, login with your username and password, and select your course.

1. In the left menu on your course page click the content area where you want the link to appear; for example, Assignments.

1. Click the arrow next to Build Content.
2. Click URL from the drop-down menu.

1. Type a name for your link in the Name textbox.
2. Type the library's proxy link in the URL textbox: http://libproxy.xu.edu:2048/login?url=
3. Copy and paste the link to the artice after the proxy link.
4. Type a description in the large textbox.

1. Scroll down to the Options area and click Open in New Window.
2. Click the Submit button.
