The following are problems you might encounter when attempting to access documents saved on the Document Delivery (Ariel) server.
- Usernames and passwords are case sensitive. If necessary, try copying and pasting the username and password from the email that was sent to you.
- If you have used up all viewings, or exceeded the 30 day time limit from all available documents, you will not have anything to view.
- Are you are using a modem? The documents average 1.7MB and can be as large as 10MB depending on the size and complexity of your article. Give these documents about 2 1/2 minutes per Megabyte with a 56kbps modem working at top speed. As a gemeral rule, if you don't see the article after about 5 minutes, then check some of the other suggestions in this list.
- Is Adobe Acrobat Reader 3 or greater installed? Click this link http://www.xu.edu/library/help/testpdf.pdf to see if everything is working O.K.
- Try to install/reinstall the current Adobe Acrobat plugin. Go here http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html and follow the instructions for installing the software.
- If pop-up windows are blocked, the document will appear in a new, separate window.
