If you plan to set up a new account or access an existing account from an off-campus location, call the reference desk for the Group Code at 513 745-4808.
These instructions were created in Windows XP. In other operating systems the windows may have different names and a different look and feel.
- From the library's homepage in the Services box, click RefWorks.

At the RefWorks User Login page:
- Click Sign up for a New Account under the New to RefWorks? statement.

The New Use Information screen will appear.
- Type your full name.
- Type in your Xavier e-mail address. This is important in case you forget your login or password.
- Type in a login name. The login name can be anything that you choose.
- Select an Area of Focus from the dropdown box.
- Select a Type of User from the dropdown box.
- Type in a password. Again, the password is your choice.
- Repeat the password.
- Click Create Account .

The Welcome window will appear. Your are now ready to begin importing references into RefWorks. By default RefWorks displays ALL References when you log in.
