Cancer Subset of MEDLINE/PubMed (mid 1950s-present; updated daily; RefWorks help; XLinks) worldwide cancer information in MEDLINE/PubMed from over 5,000 periodicals in medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, health care and preclinical sciences. It is produced by the National Library of Medicine (NLM) and the user interface is provided by the Entrez retrieval system of the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI).

Cochrane Database (updated quarterly; systematic reviews full-text; RefWorks help; XLinks) contains systematic reviews providing high quality evidence for people providing and receiving care. It includes citations to controlled trials, effectiveness reviews, methodology register, economic evaluations of health care interventions, and healthcare technology assessments. It is produced by the Cochrane Library and the user interface is provided by Wiley InterScience. Evidence-Based Practice Tip: Click Advanced Search. Under Restrict Search by Product uncheck All of Cochrane and check either Cochrane Reviews or Clicnial Trials. All articles in this database should have some level of evidence.

DineHealthy (campus only database) permits the user to set up a profile consisting of their date of birth, gender, height, actual and desired weight, activity level and medical diet based on health problems. After entering this information the user's maximum caloric intake is determined. Users can determine caloric content of hundreds of different foods and beverages, including fast food, restaurant food, frozen foods and pre-packaged food. Access from My Computer; select Vol 1 Apps (the P drive on most computers); click the DineHealthy folder; and then click DineHealth.exe.

Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETD) Center (2000-present; all full-text; RefWorks help; XLinks) is a database of masters' theses and doctoral dissertations submitted by graduate students matriculating at higher education institutions in Ohio. It is produced by participating Ohio colleges and universities and the user interface is provided by OhioLINK. Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition (1984-present; updated daily; much full-text; video tutorials; RefWorks help; XLinks) provides indexing and abstracts for nearly 850 journals, of which 450 are peer reviewed and 550 are full-text. It covers many medical disciplines with a strong focus on nursing and allied health. It includes the Lexi-PAL Drug Guide which provides up-to-date, concise and clinically relevant drug monographs. images.MD (FAQs about educational use of images) compiles over 50,000 high-quality images spanning all of internal medicine and derived from Current Medicine's series of illustrated atlases. Each image is accompanied by detailed and informative text written by over 2,000 contributing experts. images.MD is updated as new atlases are published or existing atlas series are revised. Register to start your own image library, create PowerPoint® presentations of images in your library, edit figure titles and legends, and create customized CD-ROMs of your favorite slides. Lexi-PALS Drug Guide (updated monthly; all full-text; video tutorials) was formerly incorporated into Health Source (both the nursing & consumer editions), but is now separate database. It provides vital information on medications for patients through its Patient Advisory Leaflets. It contains over 1,450 medication and natural product leaflets representing the most commonly used medications, with an additional 600 leaflets in Spanish. It is produced by Lexi-Comp, Inc. and the user interface is provided by EBSCO Publishing.

LWW Nursing Collection (coverage beginning in 1995 to 2006-present; all full-text; RefWorks help; XLinks test) indexes and abstracts 193 nursing periodicals with links to the full-text for all article in the journals. Users can search by keyword(s), enter a citation, or browse journals by subject category or by name from an A-Z list. In the browse mode, users can set up an RSS feed of the table of contents for any journal in the collection. Search results provide view abstract, find similar, find citing articles, TOC of the journal, and view the complete reference. The complete reference includes references cited by the author(s). Special resource links on the home page includes Evidence Summaries, Systematic Reviews, and Best Practice Information Sheets from the Joanna Briggs Institute. There are also cultural competency briefs by religion and ethnicity as well as 75 video training programs. The tests included in this database cover the test's purpose, publisher, in-print status, price, acronym, intended population, administration times, publication date(s), and authors. It does not include the actual test instrument. A score index permits users to identify what is being measured by each test.
