Hispanic American Periodicals Index (HAPI) (1970-present; some full-text) indexes 400 international social science and humanities journals. It indexes and abstracts over 9,300 journals, many of them peer-reviewed (4,400), and provides full-text for over 5,300 journals. It also includes indexing and abstracts for books, reports, conference proceedings, etc. Searchable cited references are provided for 1,000 journals. American Song is a history database that allows people to hear and feel the music from America's past.The database includes songs by and about American Indians, miners, immigrants, slaves, children, pioneers, and cowboys. Included in the database are the songs of Civil Rights, political campaigns, Prohibition, the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, anti-war protests, and more. It includes 7,141 albums inclding content nt from African American Music. Users can create playlists if they create an account. It is compiled and produced by Alexander Street Press.

Contemporary Women's Issues (1992-July 2006; much full-text; RefWorks help) covers critical issues and events that influence women's lives. It indexes journals, newsletters, and research reports. It includes English language publications from over 190 countries, as well as ephemeral literature from alternative presses and grass roots organizations. It covers the full spectrum of gender-engaged scholarship inside and outside academia. It provides thousands of links to freely available full-text articles and documents on the Web and hundreds of links to important websites. Source documents include professional journals, conference papers, books, book chapters, government reports, discussion and working papers, and theses & dissertations. JSTOR (1st issue of 1st volume to 3 years from present; all full-text; Video tutorial; Handout tutorial; RefWorks help; XLinks; title list) provides online access to back issues of selected scholarly journals in a variety of academic disciplines including the arts, business, demographic studies, humanities, social sciences, and science. The multidisciplinary arts & sciences collection was updated in June 2009 with an additional 120 titles, bringing the total number of journals in this collection to 749. JSTOR also includes 8,200 19th Century British pamphlets. It is produced by and the user interface is provided by JSTOR, a not-for-profit organization that serves and is supported by the scholarly community. NOTE: journal content published prior to 1923 in the US and prior to 1870 elsewhere is freely available to the public for reading and downloading (nearly 500.000 articles from more than 200 journals).

LexisNexis Academic (all full-text; RefWorks help; Shepardize handout) covers a wide variety of subjects including law, government, international affairs, politics, current events, business and medicine. Legal research provides federal and state cases, Shepard's citations, federal and state codes, tax law, Canadian court cases and legislation, law reviews, and patents. Business research allows users to create company profiles, lists, and comparisons, as well as SEC filings, account and country profiles. Company reports can be created and data can be downloaded into spreadsheets. The People tab allows users to find obituaries, elected officials, and industry contacts. Mango Language Learning Center (off-campus link via OhioLINK authentication; audio files) is an online language-learning system that can help you learn languages such as Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Spanish and many more. It also offers English language lessons if English is not your first language. The system is divided into modules that have clear goals related to conversation and pronunciation. It uses a variety of teaching methods including audio, flashcards, repetition, and cultural notes. It also contain a translation feature. Click the Start Learning button to begin. ProQuest Statistical Datasets (formerly LexisNexis Statistical; exportable data; users guide) includes datasets from many sources, including the US government, international organizations, and the private sector. It covers all subject areas, including banking and finance, criminal justice and law, education, energy resources and demand, food and agriculture, government and politics, health and vital statistics, housing and construction, industry and commerce, international; labor and employment, natural resources and environment, population and income, prices and cost of living, stocks and commodities, and transportation and travel. Users can search datasets by keyword; browse datasets by subject or source; display datasets by trend, map or ranking; and output datasets in print, PDF, delimited, Excel or SAS formats. Datasets can be limited by date and geographic area (country, state, county). Years available varies by dataset; for example, births 1999-present and breast cancer 1973-present. It also features datasets currently in the news, such as crude oil price, 30-year fixed mortgage rate, airline on-time arrival rate, campaign contributions for both Obama and McCain, gasoline prices, the prime rate and the unemployment rate. Spanish Reference Center (all full-text; XLinks) is the most comprehensive encyclopedia in the Spanish language. It includes PlanetaSaber and Enciclopedia Juvenil. PlanetaSaber contains over 145,000 articles, more than 9,100 images, maps, timelines, an atlas, a dictionary, and tables. It is a Spanish language reference resource for native Spanish speakers, bilingual students, and students learning Spanish. Enciclopedia Juvenil provides a Spanish language encyclopedia, images, videos, and learning materials specifically designed or younger learners. It is produced by and the user interface is provided by Encyclopaedia Britannica, Inc.

World Data Analyst (all full-text; XLinks) offers detailed comparative and ranked statistics for countries around the world, using both the most recent statistics and historical figures.
