ABI/Inform Research (1971-present; much full-text; RefWorks help; XLinks; title list) is a scholarly business periodicals database. It covers nearly 1,400 North American sources, providing information on advertising, economics, human resources, finance, marketing, computers and more. It includes access to the Wall Street Journal and information on over 60,000 companies. The user intereface is provided by ProQuest.

Business Source Complete (some from 1886-present; updated daily; much full-text; video tutorials; RefWorks help; XLinks) provides indexing and abstracts for the most important scholarly business journals. It contains far more peer-reviewed, business-related journals than any other database currently available. It contains searchable cited references for 1,200 journals and 20,000 detailed author profiles. It covers all subject areas related to business, including management, marketing, economics, finance, accounting, and international business. Additional full text, non-journal content includes financial data, books, major reference works, book digests, conference proceedings, case studies, investment research reports, product reviews, industry profiles (Datamonitor reports), market research reports, country reports, company profiles (including Life Science Analytics (LSA) company profiles from the MedTRACK database), and SWOT analyses. This database also includes 55 digital videos from the Harvard Business School Faculty Seminar Series. It is produced by and the user interface is provided by EBSCO Publishing.

Demographics Now (all full-text; data) allows users to analyze the demographic and market potential of any geographic area in the U.S. It creates summary, comparison, ranking and radius-based reports by geographic area. Summary reports contain multiple user-defined variables for a single geographic area; comparison reports offer side-by-side comparisons of up to 16 geographic areas; ranking reports rank multiple geographic areas by the performance of specific user-defined variables such as gender, income, employment, housing value or household composition; radius reports makes it possible to summarize the entire area of a given radius or to compare multiple radii. Economia Negocios (1980s-present; updated continuously; some full-text; video tutorials; RefWorks help; XLinks) provides coverage for more than 200 Spanish and Portuguese language periodicals published in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Spain, the United States and elsewhere. This bibliographic database is an indispensable tool for research conducted in the areas of business and economics. Search functionality is enhanced through the incorporation of author keywords supplied in Spanish and English. It is produced by the ESAN (Escuela de Administración de Negocios para Graduados)and the user interface is provided by EBSCO Publishing.

Google Scholar (much full-text; RefWorks & FIND IT @ XU help) provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature. From one place, you can search across many disciplines and sources: peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, abstracts and articles, from academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories, universities and other scholarly organizations. Google Scholar helps you identify the most relevant research across the world of scholarly research. InfoTrac General BusinessFile ASAP (1980-present; much full-text; XLinks) indexes and abstracts over 900 journals and covers business and management topics as well as finance, trade, trends and new business technologies. It includes directory listings for over 150,000 companies and their INVESTEXT investment reports. It is produced by Thomson-Gale and the user interface is provided by InfoTrac.

LexisNexis Statistical Publications & DataSets (exportable data; users guide) includes datasets from many sources, including the US government, international organizations, and the private sector. It covers all subject areas, including banking and finance, criminal justice and law, education, energy resources and demand, food and agriculture, government and politics, health and vital statistics, housing and construction, industry and commerce, international; labor and employment, natural resources and environment, population and income, prices and cost of living, stocks and commodities, and transportation and travel. Users can search datasets by keyword; browse datasets by subject or source; display datasets by trend, map or ranking; and output datasets in print, PDF, delimited, Excel or SAS formats. Datasets can be limited by date and geographic area (country, state, county). Years available varies by dataset; for example, births 1999-present and breast cancer 1973-present. It also features datasets currently in the news, such as crude oil price, 30-year fixed mortgage rate, airline on-time arrival rate, campaign contributions for both Obama and McCain, gasoline prices, the prime rate and the unemployment rate. National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) Working Papers (Nov 1994-present; full-text Mar 2000-present) provides scientific papers reported by professional economists in academia, business and the government from around the world. About 500 papers are published each year. It is produced by and the user interface is provided by the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER).

Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) (ALTERNATIVE LINK; 1980-present; updated weekly; some full-text; RefWorks Help; tutorial; citation alerts; saving searches & creating alerts; journal titles) provides bibliographic information and cited references for over 1,700 social sciences journals. It covers anthropology, business, communication, demography, economics, education, ethnic studies, family studies, health policy, history, information & library science, international relations, law, management, nursing, political science, psychology, public administration, rehabilitation, social work, sociology, substance abuse, transportation, urban studies, women's studies. It is produced by and the user interface is provided by the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI). Click Change Limits and Settings to search only this database. Click Register or Sign In to save searches and receive search history and citation alerts. Evidence-Based Practice Tip: To limit search results to articles with some level of evidence: Type your topic in the textboxes provided.
