Business Insights: Global (Formerly Business & Company Resource Center; All full-text; RefWorks help; XLinks) provides full case studies; industry research reports for specific industries within specific countries; interactive and customized charts for economic and business indicators; comparisons of countries, companies and industries; and company and country overviews.This database includes Business Insights: Essentials. It is produced by and the user interface is provided by the Gale Group.

Business Source Complete (some from 1886-present; updated daily; much full-text; tutorials; RefWorks help; XLinks) provides indexing and abstracts for the most important scholarly business journals. It contains far more peer-reviewed, business-related journals than any other database currently available. It contains searchable cited references for 1,200 journals and 20,000 detailed author profiles. It covers all subject areas related to business, including management, marketing, economics, finance, accounting, and international business. Additional full text, non-journal content includes financial data, books, major reference works, book digests, conference proceedings, case studies, investment research reports, product reviews, industry profiles (Datamonitor reports), market research reports, country reports, company profiles (including Life Science Analytics (LSA) company profiles from the MedTRACK database), and SWOT analyses. Capital IQ (on-campus only database on the Trading Floor of Smith Hall, Williams College of Business) provides information on public and private companies worldwide, company financials, M&A/financing transactions, public offerings, corporate executives' and board of directors' compensation, news, filings, screening tools, chart builder, real-time market data, relationship tree, macroeconomic data, industry analyses, and investment research. It is produced by and the user interface is provided by Standard & Poor's.

Entrepreneurial Studies Source (Much full-text; Tutorials; RefWorks help; XLinks) is a database for professionals and researchers in entrepreneurship and small business, covering topics such as business planning, communications, innovations, management, marketing, organizational behavior, product development, raising capital, and risk taking. It provides users with the full-text of 125 periodicals and 135 reference books, numerous case studies, and thousands of company profiles. In addition, 600 videos with transcripts and related articles are available from the Harvard Faculty Seminar Series and Vator TV, one of the world's largest social network sites for high-tech entrepreneurs. It is produced by and the user interface is provided by EBSCO Publishing.

Euromonitor (Passport GMID) includes 8 million exportable business statistics, about 18,000 reports, research on more than 200 national markets, emerging trends, and easy to use powerful data analysis functions. It permits industry, country, and consumer group searches. Advanced searching allows users to select a company or brand and then limit by packaging and package closure. It also includes spotlights and latest research. It is compiled by and the user interface is provided by Euromonitor International.

Mergent Online (all full-text), formerly FIS Online, includes EDGAR documents, financial reports, industry reports by country, country profiles, company news and Moody's securities data. Industry reports include Asia Pacific, Europe and Latin American countries as well as those in North America. Each country's industry report includes a sector overview, leading companies, market outlook, sector performance, and mergers and acquisitions. Advanced searching permits users to target US, international, or private companies. It provides the ability to export company reports and financial data into Microsoft Excel, to search across multiple databases on different variables, and to compare reports of multiple companies. It is produced by and the user interface is provided by Mergent.

Mintel Oxygen (formerly Mintel Reports) offers international market research reports covering US, EU & UK marketplaces. Each report combines data & analysis of the competitive landscape, market share analysis and consumer profiles. Complex demographic issues are broken into easy-to-understand sections, explaining consumer behavior and demonstrating the structure of the market. Each report includes an introduction, abbreviations, executive summary, market drivers, market size & trends, market segmentation, supply structure, advertising & promotion, retail distribution, the consumer and future & forecast. There are three types of reports: consumer, life style and travel. Each report provides news updates and related reports. Research Insight (campus only database; all full-text; tutorials for industry ratios & company reports), formerly Compustat, provides financial, statistical, and market data for U.S. and Canadian companies, business segments, geographic areas, and industry composites. It only includes information for publicly traded companies, both current and historical. It porvides 10 years of daily stock price data. Data can be exported and imported into MS Excel and is compatible with MS Vista & Office 2007. Produced by and the user interface provided by Standard & Poors.
