Cabell's Directories provides full-text directory information for business, education and psychology journal publications. Each journal entry includes submission information (editor’s name, address, phone, fax, email, web address); publication guidelines (manuscript length, copies required, format, fees, style, computer submission); circulation data (reader type, frequency, number of subscribers, publisher, price); review information (type of reveiws, number of in-house and external reviewers, acceptance rate, time it takes to review, percent of invited articles, reviewers coments, publishing fees); manuscript topics included; and manuscript guidelines. CAMIO (Catalog of Art Museum Images) (XLinks) provides high-quality art images from around the world contributed and described by leading museums, all rights-cleared for educational use. Every work in CAMIO is represented by at least one high-resolution image and a description. Many have additional views of the work, sound, video and curatorial notes. It covers antiquity to the present, and includes photographs, prints, sculptures, paintings decorative arts, posters, utilitarian objects, and jewelry. This database supports not only art history, studio art and design programs but also provides a rich context for history, religion and other humanities disciplines. CAMIO fills the gap left by the end of operations of the Art Museum Image Consortium (AMICO). It is produced by AMICO and the user interface is provided by OCLC (Online Computer Library Center).

Cancer Subset of MEDLINE/PubMed (mid 1950s-present; updated daily; RefWorks help; XLinks) worldwide cancer information in MEDLINE/PubMed from over 5,000 periodicals in medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, health care and preclinical sciences. It is produced by the National Library of Medicine (NLM) and the user interface is provided by the Entrez retrieval system of the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI).

Catholic Periodical and Literature Index Online (1981 - present; some full-text; video tutorials; RefWorks help; XLinks) contains more than 300,000 records and includes indexed citations to articles published in Roman Catholic periodicals, papal documents, church promulgations and books about the Catholic faith that are authored by Catholics and/or produced by Catholic publishers. It is produced by American Theological Library Association and the Catholic Library Association and the user interface is provided by EBSCO Publishing.

Chemical Abstracts (1907-present; updated daily) is a bibliographic database that covers all areas of chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, and related sciences. It includes international journals, patents, patent families, technical reports, books, conference proceedings, and dissertations. It provides substance and subject indexing, including CAS Registry Numbers, and abstracts. It is produced by Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) and the user interface is provided by Scientific and Technical Information Network (STN). Contact the Chemistry Department chairman for the user name and password. This database is also available through SciFinder Scholar.

Chicano Database (1960's-present; updated quarterly; some full-text; RefWorks help) indexes over 2,400 journals and other materials. It covers Mexican-American topics, including Chicanos, Latinos, Puerto Ricans, Cuban Americans, and Central American immigrants. Subjects covered include art, bilingual education, education, health, history, labor, language, literature, mental health an politics. It is produced by the Ethnic Studies Library, University of California, and the user interface is provided by OCLC (Online Computer Library Center).

China Online Journals (1997-present; all full-text; updated weekly; user guide) provides access to more than 6,000 journals in agriculture science, the arts, business, economics, government, health, humanities, law, medicine, politics, science, social sciences, and technology. It provides complete bibliographic data in English, including the title of the journal, but the abstract and full-text is in Chinese. It is produced by the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China (ISTIC) and the Chinese Ministry of Science & Technology (MOST). The user interface is provided by Wanfang/Oriprobe.

Children's Literature Comprehensive Database (CLCD) (full-text reviews) is an acquisition, research and reference service that offers 900,000 MARC records and more than 130,000 reviews of children's books. Entries include book awards, prizes, and presence on best book and other reading lists. It permits direct ordering of children's books online.

Children's Technology Review (CTE) (1985-present; updated monthly; full-text reviews) provides access to 7,200 reviews published in the print and electronic versions of this journal. All interactive children's media including educational and entertainment CD-ROMs, children's video games, children's Internet sites and smart toys (toys with interactive electronic capabilities) are review by educational psychologists. CTE reviews media for children from birth to 15 years of age. Entries include the rating, publisher, publisher's website address and telphone number, copyright date, computer platform(s) that can be used, price, grade level, age range, educational objectives, purchase links, the review and the date of the review. CIAO (Columbia International Affairs Online) (1991-present; updated monthly and weekly; much full-text; XLinks) indexes books, journals, working papers, occasional papers, case studies, and conference proceedings. It covers theory and research in international affairs and includes policy briefs, economic indicators, research projects, links to Internet resources, schedule of events, maps, and country data. It is produced by and the user interface is provided by Columbia University Press.

CINAHL Plus (Cummulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature) (1937-present; updated weekly; upgraded to include more full-text; video tutorials; RefWorks help; XLinks) indexes over 3,024 nursing and allied health journals, with complete coverage of journals and publications from the National League for Nursing and the American Nurses' Association. It includes every US nursing journal published and covers nursing, biomedicine, consumer health, alternative/complementary medicine, health sciences librarianship, and 17 allied health disciplines, including occupational and physical therapy. It includes searchable cited references for more than 1,160 journals and provides full-text for hundreds of journals, plus legal cases, clinical innovations, critical paths, drug records, research instruments and clinical trials. It features Quick Lessons, Clinical Queries, and Evidence-Based Care Sheets. It is produced by CINAHL Information Systems and the user interface is provided by EBSCO Publishing. Evidence-Based Practice Tip: To limit search results to articles with some level of evidence: Type your search strategy in the textboxes provided. Classical Music Library (XLinks) is a streaming classical music service for libraries that enables listening and learning. Browse alphabetical lists of composers, artists, conductors, ensemble, instrument, genre, period and label. Genres include orchestral, chamber, instrumental, stage & screen, vocal & choral, and opera & operetta. It includes images and biographies of artists and conductors, a glossary and definitions of historical music periods. Users can register to create personal playlist folders. Faculty can arrange to have course folders of music selections created for students in their classes. Classical Scores Library (Renaissance-21st century; XLinks) currently provides over 800 scores with plans to build to 8,000 scores, including both public domain and in-copyright items from Boosey and Hawkes. Major composers as well as many lesser known composers are represented, including notable 20th century composers. Score types include full, miniature, piano, vocal, and fragment. Users can search for a score by composer, work/opus number, key, genre, instrument, time period, title, score type, duration, editor, arranger, or publisher. The whole score is viewable and printable as a PDF document. If there is a corresponding track in the Classical Music Library database, just click to listen to the music while viewing the score. Scores can be saved in playlists. It is produced by Classical International, Inc. and the user interface is provided by Alexander Street Press.

Cochrane Database (updated quarterly; systematic reviews full-text; RefWorks help; XLinks) contains systematic reviews providing high quality evidence for people providing and receiving care. It includes citations to controlled trials, effectiveness reviews, methodology register, economic evaluations of health care interventions, and healthcare technology assessments. It is produced by the Cochrane Library and the user interface is provided by Wiley InterScience. Evidence-Based Practice Tip: Click Advanced Search. Under Restrict Search by Product uncheck All of Cochrane and check either Cochrane Reviews or Clicnial Trials. All articles in this database should have some level of evidence.

Columbia Granger's World of Poetry Online (much full-text; XLinks) provides in-depth reference and research capabilities for the study of every type of poetry. It includes Granger's Classic Hundred Poems, Top 500 Poems, Index to Poetry in Anthologies, Index to Poetry in Collected and Selected Works, and Index to African-American Poetry. It has over 154,000 full-text poems, a glossary, poet biographies, commentaries and full-text critical context essays by respected scholars.
