The Literature Resource Center provides access to biographies,
bibliographies and critical analysis of authors from
every age and literary discipline. Covers more than
90,000 novelists, poets, essayists, journalists and
other writers, with in-depth coverage of 2,000 of the
most-studied authors. Includes online versions of Gale's
Contemporay Authors, Contemporary Literary
Criticism, and Dictionary of Literary Biography,
as well as selections from Gale's other Literature Criticism
and For Students Series, such as Nineteenth Century
Literary Criticism and Short Stories for Students.
Search by Author Name, Title, Genre, Literary Movement
or Literary Themes.
General Purpose
Academic Search Premier (1984-present; updated daily; much full-text; RefWorks help) indexes and abstracts over 4,300 journals, many of them peer-reviewed, and provides full-text for over 3, 400 journals. This multidisciplinary database covers nearly all academic areas of study, including social sciences, humanities, education, computer sciences, engineering, language, linguistics, the arts, literature, medical sciences and ethnic studies. It is produced by and the user interface is provided by EBSCO Publishing.
CQ Researcher (1991-present; all full-text; RefWorks help) is the online version of the CQ Researcher print publication. It provides original, comprehensive reporting and analysis on issues in the news. Each issue discussed includes an abstract, overview, background, current situation, outlook, special focus, chronology, pro/con, bibliography, next step, contacts, and footnotes. Controversial topics are addressed in a balanced, unbiased manner. It is published by and the user interface is provided by CQ Press, a Division of Congressional Quarterly, Inc. This database permits five consecutive users.
InfoTrac OneFile (1980-present; much full-text), formerly InfoTrac Expanded Academic (ASAP), covers news and periodical articles on a wide range of topics: business, computers, current events, economics, education, environmental issues, health care, hobbies, humanities, law, literature, art, politics, science, social science, sports, technology, and many general interest topics. It is produced by Thomson-Gale and the user interface is provided by InfoTrac.
