It is produced by and the user interface is provided by Thomson/Gale. This subscription is limited to 2 simultaneous users.
Books in Print Professional (full-text reviews; RefWorks help) complete, unbiased bibliographic
information for over 5 million in-print, out-of-print, and forthcoming book, audio, and video titles. An online
version of the highly regarded print title, it features over
30,000 full-text previews; 140,000 tables of contents; and over 700,000 reviews of titles by over 200,000
publishers. It also includes cover images, author biographies and annotations.
The entry for each book includes the title, contributor, publication date, publisher, country of publication, market, ISBN, item status, binding format, edition, pages, price, also available through, language, Bowker subjects, general subjects, physical dimensions, other formats and additional publisher information. Some entries include a synopsis/annotation, full-text review, full-text preview and stock availability. It is produced by and the user interface is provided by R.R. Bowker.
Humanities International Complete (1925-present; updated monthly; much full-text; video tutorials; RefWorks help; XLinks) provides indexing and abstracts for books, articles, essays and reviews, as well as original creative works including poems, fiction, photographs, paintings and illustrations. It indexes 1,700 scholarly journals and incorporates all content from American Humanities Index and Humanities International Index. It covers literature, language, history, philosophy, archaeology,
classical studies, folklore, gender studies, performing arts, history, religion
and theology. It is produced by Whitson Publishing and the user interface is
provided by EBSCO Publishing.
Amazon.com is one of the largest commercial online sources for books, magazines, DVDs, videos, music, software, and more.

America: History and Life (new user interface; 1964-present; updated quarterly; some full-text; video tutorials; RefWorks help; XLinks; title list) indexes and abstracts about 2,000 periodicals
published worldwide in history, related humanities and the social sciences. It covers the history and
culture of the United States and Canada from prehistory to the present. It includes citations to journal
articles, book reviews and relevant dissertations. Users can search cited references and browse Clio Notes, chronologies and brief summaries of significant events and themes in American history. It is produced by ABC-CLIO and the user interface is
provided by EBSCO Publishing.
American
Film Scripts (1903-present; all full-text; XLinks) contains 497 scripts by 605 writers together with detailed,
fielded information on the scenes, characters and people related to the scripts. When complete, the
collection will include more than 1,000 scripts and over 100,000 scenes of life as portrayed in the
movies. Users can search by writers, scripts, years, characters, people, and subjects. The showcase
provides sample page images from selected scripts. It is produced by and the user interface is

Annals
of American History (all full-text; XLinks) is an encyclopedia that covers the
arts, business, democracy, discrimination, diversity, education, expansion, family,
government, imperialism, labor, law, leisure, peace, religion,and war. It provides
2,000 primary documents in American history, including speeches, historical accounts,
memoirs, editorials and cultural criticism. Multimedia files include over 500
pictures, hundreds of video clips, and audio files of famous speeches. It is produced
by and the user interface is provided by Encyclopaedia Britannica.
History Resource Center (much full-text; podcasts; XLinks) provides integrated access to over 1,000
historical (primary) documents, more than 30,000 reference articles, and over 65 full-text
journals covering themes, events, individuals, and periods in U.S. history from pre-colonial
times to the present. It includes access to citations for over 180 additional history journals.

North American Immigrant Letters, Diaries & Oral Histories (1800-1950; all full-text; XLinks)
contains 2,162 authors and approximately 100,000 pages of information providing a unique and personal
view of what it meant to immigrate to America and Canada between 1800 and 1950. Composed of
contemporaneous letters and diaries, oral histories, interviews, and other personal narratives, the
series provides a rich source for scholars in a wide range of disciplines. The collection is
particularly useful to researchers, because much of the original material is difficult to find,
poorly indexed, and unpublished; most bibliographies of the immigrant focus on secondary research;
and few oral histories have been published. In selected cases, users will be able to hear the actual
audio voices of the immigrants. The showcase provides a selection of cartoons from Puck Magazine and the images of a diary by Rose Qwong. North American Women's Letters & Diaries (Colonial -1950; all full-text; XLinks) includes the immediate experiences of 1,325
women and 150,000 pages of diaries and letters. Materials have been carefully chosen using
leading bibliographies, supplemented by more than 7,000 pages of previously unpublished material. The
collection also includes biographies and an extensive annotated bibliography of the sources in the
database. Users can search by authors, source, year, place, historical event and personal event.

York Times Historical Database (1851-within four years of the present;

maps and other graphics. It is produced by the New York Times and the user interface
is provided by ProQuest.
Times (London) Digital Archive (1785-1985; all full-text; XLinks) permits users to search using keywords or
hit-term highlighting to retrieve full facsimile images of either a specific article or a complete page. The entire
newspaper is captured, with all articles, advertisements and illustrations/photos. It is produced by The Times and the
