It's simple! Just text a librarian at 513 773-3263.

What is text a Librarian?

Text a librarian is a service which enables you to use the text messaging feature of your mobile phone to send questions and receive answers from the Xavier University librarians.

When Can I Use this Service?

Monday-Friday: 10am to 4pm

Saturday: 10am to 6pm

Sunday: CLOSED

What Kind of Questions Can I Ask?

Use this service to ask simple, quick questions (up to 160 characters) that can be answered in brief responses (up to 320 characters). Some responses may appear as 2 messages. To ask lengthy questions or questions requiring lengthy, detailed answers, please use one of the other ask us options.

What do I need to Use this Service?

You need a mobile phone which is enabled to send and receive text messages.

What Does this Service Cost?

The library does not charge for this service, but charges from your cell phone provider may apply. These charges vary among plans and among telephone providers.
