Visitors to Xavier University may access some library resources and services. Please review the library's Notice of Responsible Use.
Borrowing privileges are available for patrons with a current library card from a SWON or OhioLINK library. First-time borrowers may obtain a Xavier library card by presenting a valid photo ID and SWON-affiliated library card at the Connection Center in the Conaton Learning Commons (CLC). Library cards are issued for one year and may be renewed annually. Community visitors who do not have a SWON or OhioLINK library card, or a Xavier Alumni All-Card, are not eligible to borrow library materials.
Electronic collections such as research databases, electronic full-text journals, and electronic books, may be accessed only in the library. The library's XPLORE catalog may be accessed in the library and from off-campus locations.
Internet access is available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the visitor workstation on the 3rd floor of the Conaton Learning Commons (CLC). Wireless access with a personal laptop is available; contact the Connection Center for more information. Printing is not available to community visitors.
Community visitors using the visitor workstation must yield access to any member of Xavier University, including faculty, staff and students, if asked by a University staff member to do so. There may be certain times during the year when the visitor workstation is unavailable to community visitors.
