Traditional Reserves

Traditional reserves are typically used for books, videos, and other audiovisual materials.

Location

Traditional reserves are part of Circulation and are located at the Connection Center on the 3rd floor of the Conaton Learning Commons (CLC).

Staff

Access

Information about specific reserve materials may be accessed via XPLORE by course or by professor. Materials must be requested and checked out at the Connection Center in the CLC. To avoid overdue charges, please return all reserve materials on time to the Connection Center. Do not leave them on tables, by the photocopiers, or elsewhere in the CLC or Library.

Hours

Traditional reserves are available up to 15 minutes before closing.

Use

A valid Xavier University ID (ALL Card) is required to check out reserve materials.

Loan periods

Depending on the professor's request, loan periods may be:

  • 3 hours closed (must be used in the CLC or Library)
  • 3 hours open (may be used outside the CLC or Library)
  • 1 day
  • 3 days
  • 7 days

Reserve materials may not be renewed.
