Arrival information - August 2007 New international students must
attend international
student orientation beginning on August 23, 2007. Students who will be
living on-campus and have deposited, may move in up to 2 days early, provided
they have contacted the office of residence
life to make arrangements. There will be a nightly fee for early
arrivals, so plan ahead. Airport pickup If you are traveling by air,
you will fly into the Greater Cincinnati International Airport, which is located
about 17 miles from the campus in the bordering state of Kentucky.
If you would like to be met at the airport, please contact the
Romero International Center no later than Friday, August 10, 2007 with
all your travel information. If you do not make advance arrangements, you will need to take a taxi from
the airport to the university. Taxis are available 24 hours a day.
The cost from the airport to Xavier University is approximately $30.00.
Hotel information If you do not have housing before arriving in Cincinnati, you may need to stay in a hotel. Quality Hotel-Central (1-513-351-6000) is the closest hotel to the University. You will need to mention that you are with Xavier University in order to receive the special rate of $75 + tax for 1-2 persons per night, including a breakfast buffet (prices quoted are current as of February 2007 and are subject to change).
