International Student Orientation (ISO)

 

Mandatory for All New International Students on the F-1 or J-1 Visa

The US Department of Homeland Security requires that all new international students and scholars check-in and register at their new school.  You will be complying with this law by attending the mandatory International Student Orientation (ISO).  All new international students on the F-1 or J-1 visas joining Xavier as an Exchange, Intensive English Program (IEP), Graduate, Transfer, or Undergraduate student should plan to arrive early to attend the ISO.  Please remember to bring along your Passport, US Visa, and your I-20 or DS-2019 when you attend the ISO.        

 

Dates & Schedule

 

  • Fall 2016 International Student Orientation (ISO)
    • Tuesday, Aug. 16th - Early Move-In to the Residence Hall if you submitted a Housing Contract for on-campus living.
    • Wednesday, Aug. 17th - Mandatory Orientation for all Exchange Students, Transfers, Undergraduates, and Graduate international students beginning this Fall.  

      Check-in at the Center for International Education in Gallagher Student Center, room 230 at 8:30am. Light breakfast & Lunch will be provided. 

      Plan to stay for entire duration of the orientation till 4:00pm. Please bring your passport, I-20, and Medical history form. 
    • Thursday, Aug. 18th - Mandatory Orientation for all Intensive English Program (IEP) Students.

      Check-in at the Center for International Education in Gallagher Student Center, room 230 at 8:30am. Light breakfast & Lunch will be provided. 

      Plan to stay for entire duration of the orientation till 4:00pm. Please bring your passport, I-20, and Medical history form. 
    • Friday, Aug. 19th - Optional Fun Activity to explore Cincinnati and meet with other new and current students.  More details To Be Announced (TBA).
