ARRIVAL INFORMATION

GENERAL INFORMATION

According to immigration regulations you may arrive in the United States no more than thirty (30) days prior to the start date listed in section #5 of your I-20. However, please note that all new international students should arrive on campus no later than 5 January 2012 since the mandatory orientation begins on that day.

If you will be living on-campus and have made your housing deposit, may move in early to your dormitory. You will need to contact the Office of Residence Life to make early arrival arrangements as well as complete the Early Arrival Form. Please note that there will be a nightly fee of USD $25 per night for early arrivals.

If you will be living off campus, you may wish to arrive long before 5 January to give yourself time to find housing and to become familiar with the University and the surrounding areas.

For your reference, the Center for International Education (CIE) is typically open Monday through Friday from
8:30 am until 5:00 pm (17:00 hrs).  Please note that during the winter holiday all Xavier University offices will be closed from Monday, 26 December through Sunday, 1 January 2012. The university will re-open on Monday January 2, 2012 at 8:30am.

If you have an emergency during your travels to Cincinnati, please call Xavier’s Campus Police at +1 (513) 745-1000 and identify yourself as a new international student.
