Inside Xavier is pleased to spotlight the University's monthly Employee Recognition Program, which publicly recognizes individuals who consistently reflect our Jesuit mission in terms of being men and women for others, consistently go the extra mile in their efforts and consistently put Xavier's interests ahead of their own. Honorees are selected by the President's Cabinet. If you would like to nominate someone for employee recognition, please fill out our nomination form.
Patricia Haney, Administrative Secretary, School of Education
A strong example of how to live the University's mission in her day-to-day work, Pati's commitment to her office was particularly evident in the School of Education's recent move and relocation. Her willingness to go the extra mile helped smoothly facilitate the logistics and transition of the move and proved extremely helpful to all involved. Her close work with students, administrators and members of the School of Education displays her deep understanding and love of Xavier and her consideration for others.
Priscilla O'Clock, Professor, Department of Accountancy and Business Law
Priscilla integrates the Jesuit philosophy of educating the whole person and serving those in need through her Volunteer Income Tax Assistance course, ACCT 312/313. She provides her students the opportunity to prepare 200 to 300 income tax returns for residents in the surrounding community. Under her leadership, students, alumni and members of the Accounting Society, of which she is co-moderator, serve as reviewers and assistants. As a transformative professor in touch with community needs, she is truly a woman for others.
