Inside Xavier

Employee Recognition

June 2010

Inside Xavier is pleased to spotlight the University's monthly Employee Recognition Program, which publicly recognizes individuals who consistently reflect our Jesuit mission in terms of being men and women for others, consistently go the extra mile in their efforts and consistently put Xavier's interests ahead of their own. Honorees are selected by the President's Cabinet. If you would like to nominate someone for employee recognition, please fill out our nomination form.

Lisa Bane Lisa Bane, Secretary, Office of Auxiliary Services
Lisa accomplishes work duties in a professional and courteous manner, always enhancing her position as a team player. She recently was placed in a leadership position coordinating the Division of Financial Administration?s monthly web meetings. She does a great job of keeping everyone on task each month by sending out regular updates and agendas, as well as taking notes at each meeting. While this is not a part of Lisa's normal role, she has stepped up and done a commendable job. It's also one example of how Lisa demonstrates that she truly is a woman for others.

Norah Mock Norah Mock, Sr. Associate Director, Office of the Annual Fund and Executive Director, Women of Excellence
Norah has consistently reflected the Jesuit mission in her work by conveying a warm and caring attitude toward everyone in the course of her workdays. Under her stewardship overseeing the University?s Annual Fund, it has nearly doubled to $6.5 million from $3.5 million during the last nine years. In addition, Norah has advanced Xavier?s effort through the Women of Excellence program to reconnect and engage University alumnae and friends. For these and many other reasons, Norah deserves recognition and honor.

Thomas Hayes Thomas Hayes, Marketing Professor, Williams College of Business
Tom lives and advances the Jesuit ideals in his personal and professional life as a highly-regarded, long-time faculty member, marketing professional and nationally-recognized practitioner. His research on the marketing of college campuses enabled him to be an enriching contributor in the 20th Annual AJCU Facilities, Public Safety and Sustainability Conference this past April. Often going the extra mile to help students, colleagues and the University, Tom's wide experience and comprehensive expertise is evident in his active support of committees and ad hoc groups.
