Employee Recognition

January 2011

Inside Xavier is pleased to spotlight the University's monthly Employee Recognition Program, which publicly recognizes individuals who consistently reflect our Jesuit mission in terms of being men and women for others, consistently go the extra mile in their efforts and consistently put Xavier's interests ahead of their own. Honorees are selected by the President's Cabinet. If you would like to nominate someone for employee recognition, please fill out our nomination form.

Mary Walroth Mary Walroth, Human Resource Assistant, Office of Human Resources
Mary's contribution to the overall well-being of the Office of Human Resources has been tremendous. Her spirit of enthusiasm is contagious. Her contribution to everyday tasks reminds her colleagues to see the whole person and live the value of treating people with respect. Mary is continually mindful of keeping commitments and regularly offers ideas to improve office efficiencies. Mary's consistent, caring approach is noticed by peers and administrators, as she often comes in early or stays late to complete work and keep HR initiatives flowing and on track.

Christine is an outstanding faculty member who encourages students in and out of the classroom. Under Christine's leadership as former director of the gender and diversity studies minor, the program grew and was strengthened. Through her teaching, scholarship and service, Christine lives Xavier's mission.

Margaret Maybury Margaret Maybury, Assistant Director, Enrollment and Student Services, Department of Psychology

She consistently helps students by efficiently providing accurate information about the department's programs with a caring, pleasant attitude. By the time graduate student applicants visit campus for interviews, they feel as if they know Margaret and depend on her as a valuable resource.
