Inside Xavier is pleased to spotlight the University's monthly Employee Recognition Program, which publicly recognizes individuals who consistently reflect our Jesuit mission in terms of being men and women for others, consistently go the extra mile in their efforts and consistently put Xavier's interests ahead of their own. Honorees are selected by the President's Cabinet. If you would like to nominate someone for employee recognition, please fill out our nomination form.

Karl Stukenberg Karl Stukenberg, Director and Associate Professor, Psychological Services Center
As director of the Psychological Services Center, Karl goes the extra mile in caring for people who are sometimes fragile and have special personal issues. He is a teacher and mentor to students in the Psychology Department's graduate program, which gives him the opportunity to better serve those in need of mental health support. In addition to the time he spends educating Xavier students, Karl's research focuses on student performance and personality assessment, which allows him to better assess students needs so they may succeed. Karl truly demonstrates his commitment to the Jesuit mission as a "man for others."

Paula Flynn Paula Flynn, Administrative Assistant, Williams College of Business
Paula always completes her duties as administrative assistant in a professional and courteous manner. She reflects the Jesuit value of discernment, by prioritizing her work to best meet faculty needs. Additionally, Paula helps with various University activities, which include organizing, scheduling and ordering food for departmental board breakfast meetings as well as coordinating luncheons and guest speaker events for the Williams College of Business. She routinely goes the extra mile.

Doug HansonDoug Hanson, Manager, User Support, Discovery Services
Through his work in Discovery Services, it is evident Doug cares greatly about his responsibilities to the University. During the recent computer virus crisis, Doug's technical capabilities were essential to helping the Xavier community deal effectively with the situation. Doug is always willing to help those experiencing computer difficulties in a courteous and professional manner. He is a passionate and caring Xavier employee who consistently puts the University's interests before his own. Always smiling, Doug is an inspiration to all for how the Jesuit mission teaches us to treat others.
