National Distance Learning Week at Xavier
November 11- 15, 2013
Join the Instructional Design & Technology team and the CTE as we recognize National Distance Learning Week (NDLW) for the first time at Xavier.
Online learning has exponentially grown throughout the years. In an effort to create greater awareness of distance learning and to recognize exceptional leaders and best practices in the field, NDLW was founded.
NDLW seeks to celebrate the tremendous growth and accomplishments occurring today in distance learning education, while showing appreciation to those who make an indelible mark in the field and with students.

To celebrate National Distance Learning Week, ID&T and the CTE will offer two events:
Online and Blended Course Design in Canvas - For those faculty who have taught online or blended courses in Blackboard, you may be curious about the best way to set up your course in Canvas. Whether your course is offered spring, summer, or fall of 2014, or is still in development, come to this event for a tour of the Canvas online/blended course template developed by ID&T and available for import to your Canvas course shell.

Where: CLC 308
Register: Email Kristen Motzer at firstname.lastname@example.org
Brown Bag Lunch: Exploring Online Learning - What do online courses look like? What’s it like to teach online? Come hear from instructional designers and experienced faculty about teaching online.
