Introduction

Planning to design and teach an online or blended course or just interested in learning more about what's involved? Either way, you've come to the right place. The following information will provide you with an overview of online and blended instruction and the process for developing an online or blended course at Xavier.


The Process

The process for developing an online or blended course is comprised of the following five steps:

Enrollment in the IOCD course is limited. Currently, we are prioritizing development of courses for the following areas:

  1. Summer courses
  2. Courses for non-traditional students (CAPS)
  3. Graduate courses, including new, fully online programs currently approved by Xavier and awaiting HLC approval

Next Steps

To begin the online or blended course design process, please indicate your interest by submitting the eLearning Intent Form above, certifying that you have completed the introductory module. Then complete the eLearning Course Development Proposal Form, in conjunction with your department chair.
